Digital Media Lesson 2

 Advantages of Digital Media

Connectivity: The largest platform in which digital media is shared is on the web via Internet usage. The Internet allows us to communicate and connect with others anywhere worldwide in real-time. This increase in connectivity allows for faster processes and wide scale communication.

Easy Access/Usage: The Internet provide access to all sorts of databases and information stored on the web, so there is a plethora of resources. A simple search in a search engine like google, Microsoft edge, Safari etc. and one can view and interact with different forms of digital media for work, school, entertainment, or general knowledge.

Regular Updates: Digital media content is easily updated as it does not require one to produce tangible forms of media to distribute. It is simply changed online automatically with a tool or software. No need to wait for information to be printed and distributed to various outlets where you can then purchase to view. It is readily available online.

Creative Exploration: Because content is readily available to viewers, those who seek inspiration and references can research their interests and explore their creativity. They can experience new designs, concepts and information that may encourage their own information.

No Physical Copies: Because information is stored in a digital format, it eliminates the hassle of taking physical books or magazines around with you, buying newspapers, having to go to and browse a physical library for unknown information, as you can access what you need on a device.

Job Opportunities: The use of digital media has created new jobs that require those who possess the skills to utilize the media. It has also provided the opportunity for remote work which allows people to get jobs all over the world without travelling.
